
Membership Eligibility
Adult
· Business Women – Actively engaged as an owner, co-owner, Manager, branch representative or executive in a
traditionally accepted business that is opened to the public.
· Professional Women – Actively engaged in a traditionally accepted profession that requires a commission, license,
college degree, or administrative /supervisory skills.
· Retired Women – Meets the requirements of a business or professional woman but is no longer employed.
Associate Member – A business or professional woman who supports the mission, objectives, and the work of the Association, but her professional commitment makes it difficult for her to join a local club. She shall hold no office and be a non-voting member of the Association.
Life Member – A member in good standing at the local level and pays the required $1000.00 fee. The total fee must be paid within three (3) years of the initial payment.
Member-At-Large – A woman who lives in a city where there is no club and she meets the requirements for membership
Young Adult – Confined to women between the ages of 18 – 35 who are prepared for a business or professional career, or have entered into one within the past two years before becoming a member.
Note: A Young Adult woman may become a member of an Adult Club if there is no Young Adult Club available to her and she shall be subject to the membership dues for the classification of Young Adult member. When the Young Adult member turns 36 years old she will become an adult member and subject to adult dues.
Youth and Mr. B & P – Young women and men ages 12 - 18 who are aspiring to have a business or professional career
Ombudsmen – A men’s auxiliary comprised of the husbands, male relatives and friends of adult members. Their aim/goal is to help develop/maintain friendly relationships among members and their families.
Membership with the Greater Fort Worth Area Negro Business and Professional Women's Club yield several benefits:
